Metal-Working
Metis designed a computer controlled machine for laser cutting a tubular component. The project started with working on the design discussions that were fixed in layout drawings. The designs were then refined by detailing the layout drawings and setting the interrelationships between more and more components. Second, the detailed drawings were produced rapidly to meet the close deadline. Metis also assisted many other shops with the manufacturing of the vast number of components.
Metis has designed and built patent pending water jet cutting heads. Unfortunately, since the patents are still pending, the details are still confidential.
Metis has also consulted on proprietary water jet cutting systems.
Metis designed electronics to monitor the behavior of water jets which helps the computer to better control the water jet cutting.
