Food Processing
Food processing is part of the Metis experience. Metis is currently working on the revamping of a bottling plant in Berkeley Springs. This job has needed the broad background and capabilities at Metis ranging from plant layout and electrical service design to the construction of special equipment.
Pritchard’s experience in Food Processing began with the invention and design of a machine for picking the meat from Chesapeake Bay crabs. This system produced crab meat with unusually low bacteria count because humans never touched the meat. Pritchard was awarded one of his first patents on this system.
